Box Joint Jig for Your Table Saw
As elegant plain box joints are, the repetitious means of making them often deter
the project indefinitely. This jig suggests a way to safely hold four boards at a time
with a mechanical indexing mechanism that relocates the stack for the next cut.
The mechanism can be defined for any width box joint desired. The dimension
here is 1/2 inch, the exact width of the dado stack. Safety first with any kind of
table saw activity. Use your head before your hands when designing any kind of jig
or fixture where sharp tools are involved.
Images are for reference only. Use your own judgement when designing any
jig or fixture as well as for using power tools. Please notice that where not
noted, the blade is covered. If it doesn't feel safe, it isn't. Always design for
safety first. Thank you.

The "indexer" locates the boards for
cutting. When pulled back, it is pulled
back to pick up the next cut after it is
made. The nose of the indexer should
be as wide as the dado stack. The
location of it should be adjustable.
Your design should be laid out and
understood before the making and
debugging of it.
